What’s Earthling?

Hey, I’m Lindsay Stripling. I am an artist and illustrator living in San Francisco. Earthling is a newsletter and experiment in communication. I want to hold an intentional space for me to explore my creative practice, my curiosities and thoughts and share them with people interested in exploring their own.

I have spent a long time on the internet sharing my creative practice and connecting with others and I am excited to do more of that.

I can sometimes feel like I am running from content to content without thinking at all about what I am consuming or creating and I wanted to make a space for me to get back to moving slowly through my creativity.

I am an illustrator, a painter, a teacher, an open water swimmer and a human being and a lot of other things in between. I often get a lot of questions about my work, people seeking advice on next steps in their career or just seeking inspiration to have their own practice. I also get emails from former students or people on the internet asking for life advice, wanting to know the recipe for the soup I just made etc. So I plan to explore and share all of those things here.
